The Painted Moth Collective is a very simple concept. Each service offered at the Collective (Tattoos, Piercings and Massage services) is done by a provider who focuses entirely on their own service set. This means that when you come to see the Painted Moth Collective; the person performing your service has dedicated themselves to continuing education and truly refining their respective skills and craft to best help the clients who seek us out for these services. On the surface - what we do could be considered very similar to one another. At the root of it, Tattoos, Piercings, and Hair all can be said to be things people get for aesthetics, for a general sense of confidence, for special occasions and certainly also to stay or get connected with one’s cultural identity. Having said that - your primary care physician, optometrist, gynecologist, and dentist are all doctors. Their offices likely look similar, and many of the same accoutrements are present in these environments. However, it would be wild to ask your dentist for an eye exam, as this is out of their scope of practice. So what sense does it make to get your piercings from a tattoo artist; or a tattoo from your hairstylist? We firmly believe that old adage that a jack of all trades is a master of none - and we would rather each give you the absolute finest that we have to offer in a specialized area than just smash it all together and hope for the best.
